When picturing wilderness warriors, we often imagine them out in the bush. But some of the most critical preservation work is done with only a set of data, a computer and a curious mind. 

This Spring, we’re unleashing our wild side to blaze new trails in tech! Join Troop CLG as we explore the wilderness, harness data and help to preserve the natural world.

The Expedition

We’re looking for bold young women to help us find solutions to some of the greatest ecological challenges faced today. Are you up for the challenge?

In our 3-day camp, we’ll explore a variety of virtual habitats and dig into data to uncover strategies to keep our favourite creatures off the endangered list. We’ll also introduce you to some wild women of the coding world who are using their data science savvy to preserve all the wild wonders that call this planet home.

The Gear

Before we set out, we must first acquire the essentials needed for a successful mission.

During the 3-day coding camp, your expedition guides will ensure you’re armed with the following programming languages:

• Javascript – the most popular programming language that sits behind the magic of the web

• Python – multipurpose, readable and beloved by machine-learners and beginners alike

• Go – the up-and-comer taking the programming world by storm

The Guides

We have a team of experienced and dedicated facilitators from Code Like a Girl who will facilitate and supervise the workshop. All facilitators have a contagious passion for technology and a current working with children check.
