Education Lab – Innovation in teaching and learning

Innovation in teaching and learning: reflections and provocations from leaders in the field
Building a community of ‘critical friends’ is a major goal of our work and this event will see these essential people evolve. It is important to have a network of colleagues that share our interest in improving the way we teach and learn in engineering and computer science and who connect those ambitions to improving life for all people on the planet.
Critical friends are people who can share in our successes but who we can also share in our our failures and challenges. In this session we have invited some critical friends from institutions around the world and around Australia to share some challenges and successes of their own and to provoke deep engagement with the complex and interconnected issues at play as we rethink the way we teach, learn and explore new ideas.
Each of the speakers will give brief presentations and there will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the session. These presentations will provide a rich starting point for the following day of facilitated discussion and CoDesign around specific directions for teaching and learning at CECS. This session is open for anyone to attend.
