New student orientation: Welcome to ANU

About this Event

We understand that your orientation experience can come with a few challenges or unknowns. This event is for new ANU students with the aim of providing essential information about how to be ANU ready and how to quickly develop a sense of belonging.

This session will be delivered in-person but also recorded for students who can not attend on the day. You must have registered for the event to receive a recording.

This event will be managed in line with the ANU Covid safety plan and are subject to change at short notice. In-person events are ticketed to keep everyone safe. Unless we have reached capacity, tickets will be available at the door but we encourage you to book in advance.

The format is based on a student and expert panel discussing key topics relating to the student experience. It will feature:

Guest speaker: Talei Forrest - tbc

Host: Jason Yip (ANU Engagement & Success)

Panelists: Aisling Kinsellla (current student & Griffin Hall),Talei Forrest (current student) and Isha Singhal (current student)

Key topics: Tips on creating a great orientation experience at ANU; How to be ANU ready; How to quickly develop a sense of belonging; What is Kambri? Wellbeing tips and tricks; Study tips and tricks; Finding work; Student Administration tips and tricks; Understanding supporting services available to students and Q&A session with panelists.
