Did you know: MakerSpace
Become a maker
Do you learn better by doing? Or find you can be more creative in an interdisciplinary environment?
We think you’ll like the new and improved (ANU) MakerSpace, which has just reopened in the Birch Building.
MakerSpace is a growing network of spaces across campus, with all the knowledge and tools to support your weird and wonderful creations.
The MakerSpace tools are available for all current ANU staff and students. The growing community of users includes over 2,500 people spanning the entire demographic of the University who are making use of these very cool facilities.
Projects undertaken in the ANU MakerSpace can be linked to education, research and personal hobbies.
The new Birch MakerSpace has spaces for you to work along with hand tools, power tools, bike stands for repairs, a saw, 3D printers and pens, sewing machines, sticker and badge machines, electronics testing, a heat press, drill press, cutters and more.
