Matt Cousins

Matthew (Matt) Cousins is the College General Manager at the ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics (CECC). He is a member of the College Executive and provides leadership and strategic advice to support operations of the College and the Professional Services Group.

His journey at the ANU kicked off in 2004 as a Finance Officer. In the period of 2011-2013, Matt transitioned into School Manager in the then Research School of Engineering and later took on the role as Business Manager at John Curtain Research and Medical School (JCSMR) in 2014. During his time at JCSMR, he stepped up as Interim Associate Director – Operations in the Facilities and Services Division and Interim General Manager at College of Health and Medicine.

Matt has 18 years of employment history across tertiary and government sectors and holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and attended the General Managers Program at the University of Cambridge. He has a passion for supporting education, a strong understanding of financial management and operations and a collegial approach to leadership. As College General Manager, Matt strives to focus on improving engagement within our community as the College seeks to lead the realisation of ANU 2025.

Outside of work, Matt is a father to two daughters, Millie and Emma.
