Camera-based heart rate estimation: 1 student
Collaborators
The heart rate and its variability are used and measured for a broad array of health issues. The most widely used method for heart rate measurement is the electrocardiography (ECG) and the pulse oximetry sensor. However, the measurement principle of the oximetry sensor (photoplethysmography, PPG) has been adopted for remote measurement through cameras. This project aims to develop a robust remote heart rate measurement from facial videos under uncontrolled scenarios such as head movements and illumination variations.
