This project will contribute to the development of the first set of guidelines for the application of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for flood mitigation for Australia.  The research includes evaluating NBS for different flood scenarios and ecosystems in Australia, examining cost-benefits, and quantifying co-benefits beyond flooding.  This will incorporate systems and environmental engineering.
