Description
This project will involve the real time control of a nonlinear RLC circuit containing a tunnel diode as described in the book
H.K. Khalil, Nonlinear Systems, 3rd Ed, Prentice Hall, 2002.
This will involve constructing the circuit and then interfacing it to a microcontroller board such as a Rasberry Pi with A/D and D/A chips. A controller will be designed using classical or modern control theory methods to stabilize one of the equilibrium points of the circuit. In order to undertake this project, a student should have successfully completed ENGN3223.
