December is always a busy time of year here in the College, with Christmas festivities interspersed between all the varied reporting deadlines. One event in December is however, another wonderful reminder of a core reason we work so hard throughout the year.

At 2pm last Thursday the 16th December, 155 College of Engineering and Computer Science students completed the last official responsibility as students, attending their graduation ceremony at Llewellyn Hall.

This semester was a good year for University Medals, with Engineering being awarded five medals, and Computer Science awarded two.

Following the official ceremony, Students along with family and staff members, let their hair down at a casual celebration in the foyer of the CBE building. A local musical outfit ‘Kaleid Trio’ provided a welcoming atmosphere for staff to congratulate students and their achievements from those receiving their bachelors, right up to those being awarded their PhD.

The College would like to congratulate all of our 2014 graduates, wish them well on their future endeavours and encourage them to keep in touch.
