As the 2016 academic years gets underway, the University has launched a free new app to help students and staff remain safe on campus.
ANU OK has been developed by staff and students and brings all essential services together in one place.
It provides quick and easy access to security and essential services in case of an emergency.
The app will allow you to track and use the on campus night bus, with no need to call security and book the service.
ANU OK can also help with finding your way around campus, information about parking, bus routes and access to a range of support services.
ANU OK is available for free download on Android and iOS devices.
“ANU is absolutely committed to doing everything we possibly can to make our campus a safe and happy place for all students and staff,” said Pro-Vice Chancellor (Student Experience) Professor Richard Baker.
The Key features of ANU OK are direct access to:
- ANU security
- All Emergency Services
- Safety Escorts
- Campus Community Forum
- Support, Counselling and health
- Legal, financial and Housing advice
- Lost and found items
- Life on campus tips
- Academic support
The app also has a personal safety toolbox, which includes a flashlight and loud alarm. You can send your location to Security and they will be able to guide or escort you across campus.
ANU OK will also be used to keep you up to date with current events and activities on campus.
ANU OK has been developed by the Australian National University Students Association, Postgraduate and Research Students Association, ANU Security and the division of Student Life.
