Johan Arnberg (International Marketing and Partnerships), Dr Ben Swift and Leana Copland (Postdoctoral research fellow) were present at the renewal. The renewal was welcomed by both sides.

The renewal cooperation enables students of Liaoning to get advanced standing for selected programs at ANU. ANU delegates spoke about undergraduate exchanges, further co-operation projects and feasibility for postgraduate training for exchange to ANU.

The “2+2” credit exchange renewal was hosted by Vice President of the University Feng Yong. Johan spoke to students present at the meeting about the ANU learning environment, any issues of concern and took questions from students. Johan highlighted the geographical environment, academic status, world rankings of ANU as well as the research that is being undertaken at the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Dr Ben Swift spoke about entry requirements for the advance standing agreement.

The visit was very productive and many of the students had their questions answered at the meeting. The questions included but were not limited to language requirements, entry requirements, scholarships currently being offered at ANU and the application procedures for scholarships. There was an enhanced understanding of the partnership agreement, and it was decided that more needs to be done in the way of collaborative projects between the two universities.
