The partnership agreement between Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST) and the Australian National University (ANU) was renewed this week. Johan Arnberg (International Marketing and Partnerships), Dr Ben Swift and Leana Copland (Postdoctoral Research Fellow) were present at the renewal.  The partnership agreement renewal enables students of NUST University to get advanced standing for selected programs at ANU.

Johan Arnberg and Ben Swift had a discussion with their counterparts, Director Liu, Deputy Director Wang Han, President of Computer Science Yang Jian and Vice President of International Cooperation and Exchange, Lu Jianfeng. The renewal was welcomed by both sides.

More than ten students also participated in the “2 + 2” meeting, as they were interested in learning about the project. Johan highlighted the geographical environment, academic status they would receive, world rankings of ANU as well as the research that is undertaken at the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Johan also mentioned the employment prospects for ANU graduates. After the presentation, the students asked many questions from the ANU delegates. The questions included but were not limited to language requirements, entry requirements, scholarships currently being offered at ANU and the application procedure for the scholarships.

The interaction with students was great and most of the students got all their questions answered. The host were very pleased with the ANU delegation and their role in promoting ANU and College of Engineering and Computer Science.
