Dr Nan Yang and Johan Arnberg (International Marketing and Partnerships) from the Australian National University went to North Western Polytechnic University (NWPU) for the renewal of the “2 + 2” agreement. The ANU delegates had a meeting with NWPU’s International Cooperation’s Department, the Office of Academic Affairs and the College of Automation, as well as executives from Computer Science.

Attendees discussed the renewal of the agreement, and the progress from the previous year. Further extension and development of the project was also on the agenda, as well as in depth discussions around further enhancing the international cooperation on academic research.

The renewal was welcomed by both sides. The renewal cooperation enables students of NWPU to get advanced standing for selected programs at ANU.

Following the initial meeting, university students were invited to attend to ask questions about the partnership agreement. The “2+2” agreement was explained to students in great detail, followed by various aspects of ANU, including what they can study, research topics, and the life of a student at ANU. Dr Nan Yang also spoke to students about teaching methods at ANU and answered questions for students and staff members present at the meeting. The meeting provided a great platform for students to ask questions and to learn more about ANU and CECS.
