The Vice Chancellor of Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) visited ANU on Wednesday, 22 May.

BIUST has a good relationship with ANU Center for Public Awareness of Science (CPAS) which has been supporting BIUST in its endeavor to establish a Science Centre. Dr Graham Walker was the main CPAS contact and hosted the delegation alongside Prof Kiaran Kirk. The ANU contingent was also joined by Dr Jong Chow who is leading a collaborative industry project with a mining company which is active in Botswana. The project involves R&D of scientific instruments to be deployed on site and BIUST key areas interest are in physics and engineering.

A CECS facility tour was organised for the delegation by Mr Neil Kaines, Technical Services Manager, followed by a walk through by CECS technical staff through their areas. Ms. Audrey Teo, Acting Manager, International Marketing and Partnerships, Ms. Reetika Vadgaonkar, Marketing Officer and Ms. Dale Druhan joined the delegation on their tour.
