A senior delegation led by Professor Lidong Xia, the Vice President of Shandong University, Weihai (SDUW), accompanied by the Australian Education Management Group (AEMG) visited ANU on 18-19 July 2019.
ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) has been having a good partnership with SDUW on 2+2 Program for a long time. ANU Vice President (Engagement and Global Relations), Ms Jane O’Dwyer welcomed the delegation at the SDUW Program Student Welcome Afternoon Tea organised by CECS. Professor Xia congratulated the SDUW Program students who are about to graduate in July from ANU, and also welcomed new SDUW students joining ANU in 2019. The delegation also formally handed over the SDUW graduation certificates to the SDUW/ANU Program graduates.
The delegation later had meetings with ANU Vice President (Engagement and Global Relations), Ms Jane O’Dwyer, ANU CECS and ANU Joint College of Science, Health and Medicine in the following days and attended ANU Graduation Ceremony joining all the CECS academics to congratulate new graduates.
After the ANU Graduation Ceremony, Professor Xia arranged a group photo taken with all the SDUW program graduates under the big sign of The Australian National University to mark this important moment for the two partners as well as all the program students.
