India High School Counselor Visit

The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) supported a tour organised by the International Recruitment Team and hosted six counsellors from prominent high schools across India. Counsellors play a pivotal role in helping prospective International undergraduate students identify career paths and decide on universities around the world.

As a part of this immersive visit to the ANU campus, the counsellors met with representatives from Study Canberra and central marketing teams. They were also taken to the ANU College of Law, ANU Joint Colleges of Science, ANU College of Business and Economics and ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science to meet representatives and to visit facilities.

Ph.D. Lecturer Ankur Sharma ran a workshop to promote our engineering offerings and organised a tour of the research being undertaken at the Craig Building. Audrey Teo and Akeel Feroz from the International Marketing and Partnerships Team met with the counsellors to discuss student motivation to study overseas, promote CECS and to discuss potential partnerships.

With this being their first visit to the ANU, feedback from the counsellors indicated that they were highly impressed by the University and CECS, and that they are keen on recommending ANU to their students.
